6 Week Courses starting from 2nd September 2024
Courses run Monday Evenings, Tuesday & Thursdays
Expert guidance from Master Upholsterer Hannah Weston Smith. There will be a maximum of 8 students per class to ensure you get the guidance you need to complete your project to the best of your ability.
Thursday 28th November
6.30-8.30pm
Learn the basics of needle felting and go home with a lovely Christmas decoration that you can bring out every year.
December 5th 6.30-8.00pm
Come and spend a festive evening with Becky from Quirky Fonts making your own personalised bauble to take home gift boxed. A beautiful decoration either to add to your own Christmas decoration collection or to give as a present. Extra baubles can be purchased for £2. Refreshments provided.
Saturday 7th December
10.00 am-3.30pm
Create a scenic felted midnight owl picture with Eve Marshall, using wet and dry techniques. FULLY BOOKED
Saturday 14th December

Come and spend a morning creating your own Christmas Wreath with Hannah Weston Smith and Viki Barnes. Learn how to create a natural festive decoration using evergreen foliage and seasonal gems to take home.
15th-16th March
10.00am - 4.00pm
Spend a weekend with statement lampshade maker Aimée Alice Payton creating your own gathered, handstitched lampshade to take home. Aimée has her own workshop and business in Wiltshire - we are delighted that she and her textile collection are coming up to see us in Folkingham.

Our taster sessions are a great way to try your hand at willow weaving making shapes and a small animal with local willow weaver Martin Keeley to take home.
Friday 21st March
10.00-5.00pm
Join wildlife artist Liz McLelland and learn to make your very own ceramic hare, you’ll discover the wonder of clay whilst learning hand building and sculpting techniques.
Saturday 22nd March
09.30-4.30pm
Build your very own willow pheasant with local willow weaver Martin Keeley to take home.
Saturday 12th April
10.30am-4.00pm
Create a (A3) beautiful Coral felted picture with Eve Marshall.
About The School
A place where creatives and enthusiastic amateurs can learn new practical skills in a school humming with inspiration.
Folkingham Creative Arts (FCA) is breathing new life into the old school, a Victorian building at the heart of the pretty village of Folkingham.
Launching with courses in upholstery and furniture restoration, there will soon be courses across a diverse range of creative skills.
